Search Engine Optimization
Getting found for the things your customers actually type — not vanity keywords.
SEO has a bad name locally because it is usually sold as a monthly report full of numbers that never turn into customers. Most local businesses do not need a national SEO campaign. They need to appear when someone nearby searches for what they do, and they need the click to land somewhere convincing.
What you get
- Google Business Profile built and maintained — the thing that decides the map pack
- Local search pages for the towns you actually work in
- Site speed, structure, and schema, so the pages can compete
- The review engine: asking at the right moment, every time a job ends well
- Consistent name, address, and phone everywhere it appears online
- Reporting on searches and calls, not on impressions nobody clicked
Who it’s for
Local businesses that are invisible on Google despite doing good work, and businesses ranking on page two who cannot work out why the phone is quiet.
Available across Boston, Framingham, Wellesley, Needham, Newton and the wider Northeast, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
How it works
Four steps, in this order.
01
Find out what people type
Not what you would like to rank for — what real searches near you look like. Those are usually more specific and less glamorous than expected.
02
Fix the profile first
For local search, the Google Business Profile outweighs the website. Category, address, hours, photos, posts, and above all reviews.
03
Give each search a page
A query cannot rank against a mention in a list. Services and towns get pages of their own, written for people who searched that exact thing.
04
Earn prominence
Reviews, citations, and links. This is the slow part, and it is the part that actually decides who sits in the top three.
Common questions
How long does SEO take?
Local search moves in months, not weeks. Expect early movement in six to eight weeks and meaningful position change in three to six months. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either buying ads or lying.
Why do reviews matter so much?
For searches that return a map, Google ranks on relevance, distance, and prominence. Relevance and distance are usually fixed the day you set up. Prominence is mostly reviews — which is why a business with forty reviews outranks a better business with three.
